2-Minute Abs by DAREBEE

2-Minute Abs opens with the four movements the rest of the program is built from. The format never changes and never needs to: four exercises, 30 seconds each, one circuit, and you are done. Today that is crunches, cross crunches, the dead bug and flutter kicks. There is no rest written into the two minutes, though the card gives you explicit permission to take a micro-break if a position starts falling apart. Go slow - at this length, speed buys you nothing at all.

The four panels work through the abdominal wall in order. Crunches take the upper abs through a short, direct curl. Cross crunches bring the obliques in by driving one shoulder across toward the opposite knee. The dead bug then reverses the entire job: lying face up, extending opposite arm and leg while the lower back stays pressed into the floor, it trains the core to resist movement instead of creating it. Flutter kicks finish low, with straight legs alternating just off the ground while the deep abs keep the pelvis from rocking. Curl, cross, brace, hold - the whole brief in two minutes.

In crunches, lift the shoulder blades clear of the floor and stop there; this is not a sit-up and the lower back never leaves the ground. On cross crunches, rotate the ribcage rather than hauling on your neck - the hands rest lightly behind the head and the elbows stay wide. In the dead bug, breathe out as the limbs lower and stop the instant your lower back tries to arch. On flutter kicks, keep the legs long and the movement small.

Four exercises, one circuit, and you are back in your day before the kettle boils.

Make it Harder: Keep your shoulder blades off the floor for the full 30 seconds of both crunch variations - no resting your head down between reps.

Make it Easier: Raise your legs higher in the flutter kicks; the steeper the angle, the less your lower back has to hold.

Grateful for your promise in keeping this site accessible and free for people of all fitness levels & goals around the world. Found Darebee some time years ago and used to just save the workouts and then forget about them somewhere in my documents & to do later lists 😅 but coming back to the site this year I loved the organised/simple layout & navigation of the site with full workout video at bottom to see proper form and notes to make things easier or harder depending on your fitness/energy aswell as an extensive exercise library with joint friendly alternatives. I found it much easier to track/check off completed workouts & days on program/plan on dashboard, was more likely to remember & do it + advanced filter made it quick to find a doable workout. As a tiny way to support this site I made account and use the site exclusively for exercises now, will look to donate when I can 🙏🏽 and would recommend it to all I talk to regarding fitness. Thank you Darebee team for the great job you've all done here and keep up the good work. Blessings to you all.

I found Darebee in 2014 and since then I’ve been using it on and off until 2024, when I decided to base all my workouts on Darebee alone. I love the pictures, the variety, the amount of time it takes to complete a workout and how you can mix and match if you have a lot of energy or only repeat 3 times if you don’t feel like exercising. The website is awesome and I recommend it whenever I talk about fitness with other people. I cannot thank Darebee enough for how much this project has helped me in having a solid exercise routine and how to deal with exercise when tired, injured or when I don’t have much time.
