Day 80 is a stretching day, standing and kneeling, with a 10-count on each side for every position before moving on. Six positions, one pass, no sets. Where a stretch has no side, hold it once.
Position 1 is a standing quad stretch, one foot held behind you. Position 2 clasps the hands behind the back with the arms straight, opening the chest. Position 3 keeps the hands clasped behind and lets the head fall forward, adding the back of the neck to the stretch. Position 4 is a kneeling lunge with the hands on the front knee. Position 5 is a side lunge with one leg straight, the hands together in front. Position 6 is a wide straddle stance with the hands on the thighs, shifting the weight to one side.
Knees together and standing tall in the quad stretch. Lift the clasped hands slightly in the chest opener and keep the shoulders back; when the head hangs, let its weight do the work rather than pulling. Hips forward gently in the kneeling lunge. Sit into the side lunge with the straight leg's foot flat. Chest up and feet turned slightly out in the straddle. Slow counts throughout.
Eighty days in, and the front of the hips and the back of the neck get their ten counts each.
Make it Harder: Stretching is the one place the program says no to harder; take every count to 20 and call that more.
Make it Easier: Shorten every hold to a 5-count and keep a hand on a wall for the standing stretches.
