Program by DAREBEE

Military Prep is a 30-day program that gets you ready for military, police, firefighters, first responders and other service entrance fitness tests. The names change but the tests don't: push-ups, sit-ups or a core hold, a timed run, and enough leg strength to carry the rest. This program trains exactly that, then tests you the way they will - five events on Day 1, Day 15, and Day 30: 2 minutes of push-ups, 2 minutes of sit-ups, max plank hold, 2 minutes of squats, and a 2.4 km / 1.5 mile timed run. Day 1 is your baseline, Day 15 your progress check, Day 30 your exam. Write your results down every test day. You don't need to be joining anything to take it on - if you've ever wondered whether you could pass, this is your answer.

Every day between tests has a job: strength days build the rep events, interval days teach goal pace (the skill that actually passes the run - most people fail it by starting too fast, not by being slow), distance runs build the engine, sprint days cover agility, core days train the test format, and active rest days keep you moving while the work sinks in. On interval days hold the target pace exactly - not faster. You'll need running shoes and somewhere to run; everything else is done at home with no equipment. Pick your level honestly: Level I if you're curious where you stand, Level II to reach passing standard for most tests, Level III for scores that stand out. If your test includes a pull-up, hang, or grip event, add the Dead Hang add-on - it slots into the same 30 days.

The full preparation cycle is 60 days: run the program on Level II, then repeat it on Level III - real test standards take about 8 weeks of consistent work to comfortably beat. When repeating, skip Day 1: your Day 30 results are your new baseline, so start round two on Day 2 and recalculate your goal pace from your latest run time. Your final exam is your next starting line. One last thing: standards vary by country, branch, and department, so look up your exact test and check your Day 30 numbers against it. Military Prep prepares you - knowing your own test is your job.

I have always wanted to find a place that would meet me at my level wherever I am, encourage me to stay motivated, fit in my busy schedule, not require a gym membership, offer variety, be fun, help me feel like part of a team without leaving my house, and still be affordable. That has been my dream. So Darebee.com makes my dream a reality. It does all that and more. I would highly, highly recommend this site to absolutely anyone.

BUT what I think is at least as great is the design and functionality of the website. It is just so clean and well organized. I love the filter functions, they work very well and you can find exactly what you need in seconds. Also the bookmark feature is just awesome! The way you can organize the bookmarks, create different collections and sort them so efficiently is very thoughtful and way better than I have seen it on many bigger platforms. I think it is just an example where one can see that the Darebee team not only strives to create the best workouts but for excellence on every level. Tank you! You are doing an awesome job!

After more than a decade, and after trying countless websites and apps, it's still my number one choice for workout plans and creative exercise inspiration. Unlike other apps and sites, the full experience is available regardless of ability to pay; even when the job market has been tough, Darebee has been there with accessible, effective workouts to help keep me on track when other obstacles crop up. Whether it's a full workout, or a little challenge to supplement other routines, Darebee has ALWAYS had me covered. The wide variety of skill levels available means that I can find something, even if injured, tired, or simply out of practice. Need to work on something specific? Pick a challenge for it. Injured? Rehab workouts and exercise alternatives abound. Not sure how to use all those dumbbells you somehow acquired over the years? No problem--you can find workouts with that equipment. In conclusion: Darebee is pretty rad; an awesome, effective resource, that anybody who needs a bit of sweat and strength in their lives can appreciate. Thanks to the Darebee team for their dedication, hard work, and commitment!
