DAREBEE Workout: What it Works

Avengers do not specialize. They do everything, at full effort, whenever the situation demands it. Squats, tap side lunges, punches, shoulder taps, push-ups, slow climbers, plank rotations - this workout covers the legs, the upper body, the core, and the cardiovascular system inside a single set. The only thing missing is a cape, and that would get in the way of the push-ups.

Tap side lunges step wide and touch the floor, loading the inner thighs and glutes at an angle squats cannot reach. Slow climbers keep the core under constant tension while the legs drive. Plank rotations open the body into a side plank, then return - the obliques, shoulders, and hips all have to work together to make that rotation controlled rather than a collapse. Push-ups and shoulder taps hold the pressing and stability work together.

The set is long. The exercises are varied. By the end of it the body has moved in every direction and used nearly every muscle group. That is the point. Avengers assemble because no single hero covers everything alone - and neither does any single exercise.

Extra Credit: Increase squats to 20 reps.
