Burn & Build does exactly what it promises - and it does both at the same time. Jumping jacks and high knees keep the heart rate up and the calories burning, while squats build real leg and glute strength in between. The two goals reinforce each other: the cardio keeps the intensity high so the squats feel harder, and the squats make the cardio more demanding because your legs are already working. Each round is a conversation between burning and building, and neither side gets a break.
The structure is deceptively simple. Jumping jacks sandwich the first squat block to open the round with energy. Then the rep count drops to 5 squats, but they arrive after 20 high knees - which means your legs are already warm, your heart is already pumping, and those 5 squats have to fight for every inch. The final 5 squats close the round the same way: earned, not given.
Burn & Build is a short workout with a long memory. Your legs will know they worked - and so will the rest of you.
