DAREBEE Workout: What it Works

Core Lock is a plank-coordination gauntlet: you’re not just holding positions, you’re transferring control between them while your base of support keeps changing. The balance planks push it into level 5 difficulty territory because the demand isn’t “more reps” - it’s more precision, more tension management, and more awareness of where your ribs, hips, and shoulders are living in space. You’re essentially practicing stability under shifting rules, and the rules change fast.

This trains anti-rotation, shoulder integrity, and deep core engagement in a way that carries over to everything from push-ups to loaded carries to athletic footwork. You’ll light up obliques, transverse abdominis, serratus, glute med, and the smaller stabilizers around the shoulders as you fight the urge to twist, sag, or hike a hip. Take your time, widen your stance when needed, and treat each hold like a combination lock: the right alignment clicks, the wrong one fights back. Quality reps here are quieter, steadier, and way harder.

Extra Credit: Count to 15 instead of 10.
