DAREBEE Workout: What it Works
Focus: Fullbody
Type: Metcon
Difficulty: level 3 of 5

Moxie is a striking workout with attitude to spare - the old-school word for nerve, grit and the willingness to swing first. Lunge punches open the show, three rounds of ten punches keep the pressure on, and knee-to-elbows and squat hold side bends fill the space between with core work that never lets you fully stand down.

The structure is a boxer's logic applied to bodyweight training. The opening lunge punches are the hardest coordination task of the session - striking while dropping into a lunge forces your upper and lower body to work on separate assignments simultaneously - so they come first, while you are sharp. From there, punch blocks alternate with core exercises that feed directly back into punching power: knee-to-elbows train the hip-to-shoulder connection every good strike travels through, and squat hold side bends load the obliques while your legs burn in a sustained sumo squat. Every punch block arrives with your midsection slightly more tired, which is exactly how you build strikes that hold up past the first round.

Time the lunge punches so fist and front foot land together - that synchronization is the entire skill. Rotate from the hips on every punch and bring the hand back to your chin between reps. In the side bends, stay low in the squat and bend strictly sideways rather than leaning forward; the obliques only get the work if your depth does not bail out.

Ten punches, then ten more, then ten more. Moxie is not one bold move - it is refusing to stop making them.

Make it Harder: Sink the squat hold deeper and speed up every punch block.

Make it Easier: Perform the lunge punches as stationary punches in a high lunge stance.

I appreciate the flexibility of levels and types of workouts and the amazing amount of content being offered for free. The amount and variety of content is overwhelming to start but the filters really help narrow everything down. And if I still can't make a decision, the monthly challenges and daily movements are a great start. One of my favorite features is the video exercise library. When I'm not sure how to do a movement or exercise correctly, it's easy to find and watch a quick tutorial. (The dashboard and ability to create sorted bookmarks of favorite workouts are also very helpful)

I have always wanted to find a place that would meet me at my level wherever I am, encourage me to stay motivated, fit in my busy schedule, not require a gym membership, offer variety, be fun, help me feel like part of a team without leaving my house, and still be affordable. That has been my dream. So Darebee.com makes my dream a reality. It does all that and more. I would highly, highly recommend this site to absolutely anyone.

Yes, the workouts are awesome and I like them very much. They are easy to understand and don't require much knowledge so you can simply start working out. BUT what I think is at least as great is the design and functionality of the website. It is just so clean and well organized. I love the filter functions, they work very well and you can find exactly what you need in seconds. Also the bookmark feature is just awesome! The way you can organize the bookmarks, create different collections and sort them so efficiently is very thoughtful and way better than I have seen it on many bigger platforms. I think it is just an example where one can see that the Darebee team not only strives to create the best workouts but for excellence on every level. Tank you! You are doing an awesome job!
