DAREBEE Workout: What it Works
Focus: Cardio
Type: Burn
Difficulty: level 3 of 5

Optimum Burn is a low-impact cardio workout tuned for exactly what the name promises - the steady, sustainable intensity where your body burns fuel most efficiently. Jumping jacks return three times as the pacemaker, with side jacks, seal jacks, arm scissors, scissor chops, march steps and butt kicks rotating between them, ninety reps per set and not one of them requiring you to leave your feet for more than an inch.

The structure is built around variety at a constant intensity, and that constancy is the science. The recurring jumping jacks reset the tempo at the start of each row, and every exercise between them shifts the emphasis just enough to keep different muscles cycling without ever letting the heart rate spike or crash. Side jacks and seal jacks are jumping jack dialects - one swinging the arms overhead from the hips, the other clapping them together in front - while arm scissors and scissor chops park the legs and hand the rhythm entirely to the shoulders. March steps and butt kicks close each set with running patterns softened to ground level. Moderate, continuous, varied: the zone where you can keep going, which is precisely the point.

Land every jack variation softly through the balls of your feet with a slight give in the knees. Keep the arm work at shoulder height with full range - as fatigue arrives, the arms will lobby to drop, and the burn lives in refusing them. Drive the march steps to genuine hip height and snap the butt kicks heel to glute, keeping the rhythm brisk enough that the last row still counts as cardio.

Not maximum burn - optimum. The fire that lasts is the one you can feed for every single set.

Make it Harder: Speed up every exercise while keeping the landings soft.

Make it Easier: Step all the jack variations out side to side instead of jumping.

I appreciate the flexibility of levels and types of workouts and the amazing amount of content being offered for free. The amount and variety of content is overwhelming to start but the filters really help narrow everything down. And if I still can't make a decision, the monthly challenges and daily movements are a great start. One of my favorite features is the video exercise library. When I'm not sure how to do a movement or exercise correctly, it's easy to find and watch a quick tutorial. (The dashboard and ability to create sorted bookmarks of favorite workouts are also very helpful)

I have always wanted to find a place that would meet me at my level wherever I am, encourage me to stay motivated, fit in my busy schedule, not require a gym membership, offer variety, be fun, help me feel like part of a team without leaving my house, and still be affordable. That has been my dream. So Darebee.com makes my dream a reality. It does all that and more. I would highly, highly recommend this site to absolutely anyone.

Yes, the workouts are awesome and I like them very much. They are easy to understand and don't require much knowledge so you can simply start working out. BUT what I think is at least as great is the design and functionality of the website. It is just so clean and well organized. I love the filter functions, they work very well and you can find exactly what you need in seconds. Also the bookmark feature is just awesome! The way you can organize the bookmarks, create different collections and sort them so efficiently is very thoughtful and way better than I have seen it on many bigger platforms. I think it is just an example where one can see that the Darebee team not only strives to create the best workouts but for excellence on every level. Tank you! You are doing an awesome job!
