Strider is a simple stride-building ladder that trains your legs and your rhythm at the same time. March steps keep the engine running and reinforce posture and coordination, then the 2 lunges drop in like little strength anchors, reminding your hips and glutes they’re part of the job. Repeating that pattern five times creates a steady cadence: move, load, move, load, without any complicated choreography or impact-heavy jumps.
Because the lunge reps are low, you can treat them like technique reps instead of survival reps. Step back with control, keep the front knee tracking cleanly, stay tall through the torso, then return to marching and let your breathing settle without stopping. It’s a great “get moving” session that still builds single-leg stability and leg endurance, and it leaves your gait feeling smoother, which is exactly what a strider is supposed to do.
